Trevoh Chalobah Set to Take Over from Guehi in England Squad

The Chelsea star followed his brother Nathaniel in representing England, emerging as the twenty-first pair of siblings to play for the England side.

Trevoh Chalobah is expected to join up with the Three Lions selection to cover for injured Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old is set to link up with the national side for England's remaining World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, but it has still not been confirmed.

The national side have already booked their place for next summer's competition.

Chalobah received his first invitation under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in May and then played his first game against Senegal.

In the month of September, Tuchel remarked Chalobah was unfortunate to be omitted from the squad for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and additionally did not select him for the following October fixtures.

Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's career, having given him his Chelsea first appearance in the year 2021.

Chalobah has appeared in all but four games for Chelsea this season, with the side third in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup last eight and in the league phase of the Champions League.

Guehi suffered a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Conference League success over AZ Alkmaar in their last match.

There are set to be additional call-ups to the squad. Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe has confirmed that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (a concussion) will be unavailable from the squad.
